
Peacefully at Alexander Place, Waterdown on Friday, July 2, 2010 Jean Bennett in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Jack Bennett. Loved mother to Sharon & Ken Banks of Burlington, Bryan & Joanne Bennett of DDundas, Glenn & Kara Bennett of Windsor. Dear sister of Blanche Cockwell, the late Hazel Blagden and the late Evelyn Leslie. Fondly remembered by 6 grandchildren Michael Banks (Sarah), Adam Banks (Tammy), David Bennett (Marnie), Scott Bennett (Tammy), Ryan Bennett and Amanda DeBenedictis (Michael), 8 great grandchildren Noah, Hannah (Banks), Kyle, Aidan, Aaran (Banks), Soyer, Lochlin (Bennett), Brynlee (Bennett).
Jean's life remained fulfilled throughout her final years due largely to the loyal companionship of her special friend Cor DeGraaff whose daily visits brought joy to her life. Jean was a life long resident of Carlisle, had a distinguished teaching career, and was a contributor to the book "Carlisle Beginnings". Jean also had a lifelong interest in travel, quilting and eveything family.
Jean's family wishes to thank the staff at Alexander Place for the excellent care given to their Mom.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Jean's life will be held at the KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St., N., Waterdown on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 2 p.m.
