It is with deep sadness the family of Ray Gentle announce his passing on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in his 82nd year, with his loving wife and daughters by his side. He leaves behind his beloved wife Betty of 52 years, his cherished daughters Sara (Greg), Laura (Mark), Lisa (Andrew), and will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Krista (Mike), Heather (Donny), Geoff, Alex, Hannah, Sadie, and great-grandson, Hayden, as well as Elena and many other good friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Sharpe, Dr. Leber, and nurse Leah of MUMC Blood Disorder Clinic for their care.
Ray was an avid golfer and enjoyed biking, walking and tennis. He was a long-time member of the Burlington Golf & Country Club as well as a long-time volunteer at the Burlington Art Centre where he taught and shared his artistic abilities. As per Ray's wishes cremation has taken place. An Open House to celebrate his life will be held at the BURLINGTON ART CENTRE, 1333 Lakeshore Road, Burlington on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 3 - 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BAC would be appreciated.
