Winnie Annie Ridgeway (nee Walker)
(Apr 27, 1917 - Aug 11, 2012)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Winnie Ridgeway at the Brant Long-term Care Centre at the age of 95.  Loving wife of the late Bus Ridgeway.  Cherished mother of Jack (Margit) Ridgeway of Scarborough, Pat (Bob) Partridge of Hamilton nad the late Ann (Dieter) Adomeit of Burlington, Dear grandmother of John (Diane), Mark and Peter Ridgeway, Tracey, Brent (Billie-Jo), and Jason (Rose) Adomeit and Glen (Sheena) Partridge.  Wonderful great-grandmother to Melynda, Bret and Brittany Ridgeway, Jasmine and Ajay Adomeit, Michael Partridge and Kyle, Caelan, Ryan and Tyler Adomeit.  Fondly remembered by many nephews, nieces, friends and fellow cardsharks.  Having grown up on a farm in East Flamborough and developed a passion for flowers, it was natural that Winnie and Bus would open Ridgeway Florist in Waterdown.  She was a longtime member of Gace Anglican Church in Waterdown. 

Visitation will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-3 p.m. where a Funeral Service will begin at 3 p.m.  Interment Grace Anglican Cemetery. 

The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at the Brant Centre for the warm and caring atmosphere they created for Winnie while she lived there. 

Donations to the Grace Anglican Church Renovation Fund or the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated in Winnie's memory.
