Suddenly at Joseph Brant Hospital on Monday, February 8, 2010 Roberta passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour. Survived by her son Tom and his wife Carolyn. Nana will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jessica, Andrew, Michael and Joel, sister Marion McCurdy (Sam) and sister-in-law Jean Gordon. Predeceased by her husband Tom in 1988 and brother Hugh. Roberta was a long time member of Flamborough Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years. Her family was her joy in life and her grandchildren were very dear to her. Roberta enjoyed music, listening to and singing old hymns and new choruses. She always had a smile on her face and loved to laugh. She was a friend to many.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the KITCHING STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St., N., Waterdown on Thursday, February 11 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service and a Celebration of Roberta's life will be held at FLAMBOROUGH BAPTIST CHURCH, 41 5th Concession Rd., E. on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
