After a massive stroke, John peacefully slipped away into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Hamilton General Hospital.
John was born in Regina in 1927.
Predeceased by his parents Lazar and Angelina, John is survived by his wife Edna of 57 years, daughters Marlene (Peter Link), Jane (Stephen Zener) Betsy ( Mark Price) and granddaughters Beth, Kaitlyn, Rachael & Emma.
John retired from the International Harvester in 1974 after 30 years of service to continue farming full time and to persue travel and many personal activities. He was a devoted member of the Westover Baptist Church and committed to many local organizations, social clubs, family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of John's life will be held on Sunday January 31, 2010 at COPETOWN LIONS COMMUNITY CENTRE, 1950 Hwy. 99, Copetown at 2 p.m. (Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m.) Memorial donations may be made to SHARE Agricultural Foundation or the Westover Baptist Church.
