Ted Rokowski(Aug 19, 1932 - Jun 24, 2012)
To face trials with the attitude of one training for a race is right! This life we're living now is the proving ground; the training gym; the track. We run through pain, sorrow, adversity and all the other fleeting perils the evil one throws at us because God through Christ has allowed us to glimpse the prize. We must go on to the very last foot. All of us. Because the race, by nature, is not won individually, but through a vast family in Christ. - LIDIA

Karolina, my deepest sympathies to you and your family as you mourn the loss of your dad. I have very fond memories of him hosting your birthday parties. He was right in there, running the games, and handing out goodie bags! I will miss seeing him driving his pick-up truck up and down the 2nd Conc., although you didn't want to be behind him if you were in a hurry! May you find comfort in your memories and strength in your faith. - LINDA BUTTER (NEE KUYPERS)

To Ted's family, How well I remember Ted Rokowski; I had him for Grade 9 Geography all the girls I hung around with thought he was "a hunk" for he was a braw lookin' laddie back then. I remember especially Madeline (the love of his life) she taught me in Grade 9 & 10 for English. She was the midwife for my creative weaver of tales, storyteller (all things Scottish of course) & poetry. I started writing seriously much later, went back to McMaster to the writer's credit course & have been published in Canada, US, UK, Australia & New Zealand but sadly Madeline was long gone & I could not tell her of how much she inspired me. Ted is now reunited with his beloved Madeline & although there's much saddess at the parting here - in time you will have many memories to comfort you for love is greater than death...aye yours Donna Gail Portree - former student, Dundas District High School - DPORTREE@COGECO.CA
Our sincere condolences to Ted's family. - JOHN AND JANE FEDDES
