Shocked to read the sad news in the Review. Although I knew Jim from decades ago through the "Morgan connection", I was reintroduced a few years back when he helped our daughter Jen. Jim & I had a chance to chat a number of times then and his candid, honest approach to life made me respect an old friend even more. Classy people have that impact. We first met Jim and Joyce, fellow Canadian travellers, in Fountain Hills AZ and renewed our friendship every year thereafter.

I knew Jim from a young boy in Waterdown. He was younger than me but he was a friendly guy who always spoke to you. He went on to build a very successful business which his Mom was very proud of. While he lost his Dad at an early age he assumed the responsibility, along with Jill, of seeing to it that his Mom was well looked after. Different days in Waterdown then but great days - I remember them well.
