Pet Loss

Like one of the family… we hurt when they are gone.

As pet lovers, we grieve over the death or chronic illness of a pet.

Pets are valuable family members and best friends, and many emotions arise from their death, such as shock, anger, and guilt. Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home offers a safe and confidential environment where you will learn about these feelings and the other emotions that accompany the grieving process. We encourage you to come and share your stories and memories, and bond with other pet lovers who are experiencing similar feelings of loss.

Sharing your pain is the first step to recovery, and you deserve to feel comforted and understood. Get the support you need by joining our Pet Loss Support Group.

Pet Loss Support Group

Groups meet the second Tuesday of each month at Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Family Centre (146 Mill Street North, Waterdown, ON). The sessions are from 7:00 to 8:30pm. There is no charge for meetings.

So this is where we part, My Friend,

gone from sight, but not from mind,
